Titanium Dioxide

Sukgyung AT’s ultrafine Tin Oxide will be a solution to replace Titanium Dioxide, especially for toner industry. On 18 February 2020, the European Commission (EC) published a delegated regulation classifying powdered Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) as a category 2 carcinogen by inhalation under EU Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures. TiO2 has been used in a variety of industries such as cosmetics, toner, painting, electric/electronic industry. Especially, since most of printing toners contain some amount of TiO2 in a powder form, it should be replaced with other chemical substance in order to maintain the market. Various surface treatments are available.
